Brink PC gets Game Update and Stats Site

After fixing the quandary caused by lags and hack attacks in Brink PC, the developers are introducing a new feature of tracking stats on the Brink website. Along with that Splash Damage has also released a new game update for Brink PC adding certain features into the title.

The first notable trait of this update is that server admins can now greet connecting players with a custom message at the loading screen. In addition, they can also increase the defending team’s spawn timers in Stopwatch. The Aquarium map has been fixed from logging only one objective as being completed. Other improvements include, an amplified network protocol, the addition of objective timing info on the stopwatch review screen and enhanced support for spectator players looking at health bars of other gamers.

The issue of player nametags disappearing in spite of not being affected by flashbangs has been resolved. And so are the problems of weapons getting stuck in iron-sights and caltrop models not being updated properly. Chat windows will scroll automatically once this patch is applied. Furthermore, spectators would have the ability to watch a current objective’s progress as well as player names with their colors. This update also brings a new filter capability that allows players to view by their preferred server type which translates into dedicated servers.

With this patch gamers can force a refresh of the notifications screen whenever it is activated. In addition, the hacking terminals are now easier for the attacking team while the defending team’s spawn time has been increased by 10 seconds each. Also, from today players can track their stats on the game’s new stats-dedicated website.

There’s no information yet upon such updates for PS3 and Xbox versions, but the Brink PC update is available now on Steam.
