Capcom’s upcoming Resident Evil: Revelations, which is slated to release for the 3DS across Europe in January next year, will be made available as a special edition bundle which would include a Circle Pad Pro accessory. This survival horror title would also retail as a standalone game.
The new iteration of Capcom’s extremely revered franchise would transpire in 2005 and will look to unearth the realities between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. Said to be filled with terrifying moments that convey constant fears of the unknown, this title will feature a completely fresh narrative as well as new locations and characters.
At the same time, other series-favorite characters will also be present in the game. These comprise Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. In the game’s story, the latter has disappeared suddenly and his last known GPS data reveals him to be onboard an abandoned cruise ship. Jill Valentine and her BSAA partner, Parker Luciani set out to look for Chris on the mysterious ship which houses previously unseen enemies and a virus named T-Abyss.
Apart from the campaign, an all new Raid mode also makes its way into this title. In this mode, single or two player co-op missions can be completed to achieve various objectives. 2012 will also mark the launch of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, which has been described by Capcom as a true third-person team-based shooting experience.
Resident Evil: Revelations will be outed in Europe along with its Circle Pad Pro accessory on January 27, 2012. Its standalone version is currently available for pre-order at a price of 32.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 2,702).
