We recently reported that the Pokémon HeartGold Version and SoulSilver Version games for the Nintendo DS and DSi in the US would be bundled with a new Pokéwalker accessory. Now Nintendo has announced that those who pre-order the new Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version in the US will receive a Legendary Pokémon figure. The pre-ordering begins February 1, 2010 and figures will be available while stocks last. The figures are crafted by Kaiyodo, a renowned figure-making company.
“These unique figures are our way of thanking Pokémon fans of all ages for the enthusiasm and support they have shown for the series,” Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing, said. “Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions include new features and enhancements that players will instantly appreciate, and we think these terrific figures will help to get fans even more excited about what is in store for them on March 14.”
Those who pre-order Pokémon HeartGold Version will receive a figure of Ho-Oh, a Legendary Pokémon which circles the skies of the Johto region on rainbow-coloured wings, while those who pre-order Pokémon SoulSilver Version will receive a figure of Lugia, a Legendary Pokémon which lives in deep seas and has the power to create huge storms. These pre-order incentives will be available at participating retailers across the US while stocks last.
Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version have been created exclusively for the DS and DSi systems, and take players to the scenic Johto region. Each game will carry a suggested retail price of 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,840).
