Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions

Pokémon has been “capturing” audiences for more than a decade now, and fans can even enjoy experiences of training their Pokémon characters within the many Pokémon-based video games. Now we have word that the Pokémon HeartGold Version and the Pokémon SoulSilver Version games will be coming to the US for the Nintendo DS and DSi, and will be bundled with the new Pokéwalker accessory, which will allow players to take their favourite Pokémon with them wherever they go.

Pokéwalker In the Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions, players will be able to transfer any one of their Pokémon from one of the two games into the Pokéwalker accessory. Players can then walk their Pokémon through virtual routes, as they themselves walk around in real life. In this manner, players earn Watts, which can be used within the Pokéwalker to catch wild Pokémon or search for hidden items. These can then be transferred to the Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions to unlock new routes.

When in the Pokéwalker, the Pokémon will gain experience points and can even go up one level when put back into the game. Players will also be able to wirelessly connect two Pokéwalkers to trade items.

Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version will be released on March 14, 2010 in the US. The new accessory will be included with each copy of the games. Nintendo has not revealed the prices of the games at this point.
