Nintendo 3DS plays Portable Platform to PES, Contra, MGS and Frogger

We have been regularly reporting about Nintendo’s new handheld platform, Nintendo 3DS, and the upcoming games on the same for enthusiasts to keep an eye on. As an outlook on the advent of the much-anticipated portable device, Konami Digital Entertainment has revealed particulars about four of the greatest classic titles for the portable device.

“We are delighted to confirm that Konami has four major titles in development for Nintendo’s 3DS system, the chance to explore popular franchises such as Metal Gear Solid, Pro Evolution Soccer, Contra and Frogger within a 3D realm is an exciting opportunity, and we cannot wait to share more news in the coming months” announced Kunio Neo, President for Konami Digital Entertainment.

A persistent high-hitter Frogger, Hideo Kojima-developed Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, a Pro Evolution Soccer game and the archetypal sprint and shoot title, Contra are said to support the new handheld hardware. With Konami announcing to reveal more news on the four titles over next few months, gamers are already eagerly anticipating its imminent offerings.

Bundled with a set of cutting-edge features and accouterments, Nintendo 3DS is reported to be releasing early next year and expected to be priced at 300 USD (approx. Rs. 13,338).
