Need For Speed World Celebrates Second Anniversary with Double XP Week and New Car

Electronic Arts had launched Need for Speed World for PC two years back, and now, as the game turns two, the publisher has announced a free item giveaway for each day this week until July 27. Started yesterday, this giveaway will proffer fans such items as customized license plates, neons, vinyls and even some Need for Speed World in-game currency which is called SpeedBoost.

Yesterday’s freebies included an in-game 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 which was doled out to all registered gamers free of cost. A double XP week was also launched by EA, and this phase is scheduled to end on July 27. Moreover, the game even received an all-new Free Cam feature that enables players to assume control of the camera in order to take screenshots of their customized cars anytime during the game.

This PC title provides gamers with high-speed action racing which is complemented by a number of social features. A total of 120 licensed cars have been made available as of now for players to compete in more than 80 events. Over 100 miles of open road has been incorporated into this title according to EA. And its locations include those from the much loved Need for Speed Most Wanted and Need for Speed Carbon. The publisher claims this title possesses a community of over 16 million registered players from all over the world.

The double XP week for Need for Speed World began yesterday and will run only till July 27. Until this date, EA will be dropping different freebies for its community.
