There are lots of massively multiplayer online games being introduced out there and Electronic Arts too wants a share of the ‘massive’ pie! Now EA has sent word that over half a million players have registered for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR), which is a fantasy MMORPG.
Mark Jacobs is the co-founder and GM of Mythic Entertainment. He says, “In just one week we have a half a million people playing WAR online, and the ranks of Order and Destruction are growing at a record-breaking pace for a new MMORPG. We spent years working to provide players with the most stable, epic, and polished online world we could, but it is the players that have truly brought the Age of Reckoning to life.”
Players have registered for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning from regions such as North America, Europe and the Oceanic territories. The game comes with a price tag of $49.99 (approx. Rs. 2320). EA claims it is one of the fastest-selling new MMO of all time. A novel based on the WAR franchise had also been announced.
