The console was first release by Microsoft in the US, the UK, Brazil, Australia and some European countries in November last year. Its standard price has been kept locked at 499 USD (approx. Rs 30,514). However, a recent retailer listing which had put the Xbox One up for pre-order had stated its price in India to be Rs 55,000. These are still early days to speculate on the cost, and so we’ll just have to wait and see what kind of a strategy the company uses to combat the PS4’s early entry into the country.

Right now, Xbox One is benefitting from inflated sales thanks to Titanfall which has received rave reviews for its advanced first-person shooter offerings. Reports are pointing out that it’s fast closing in on the big gap in sales created by the PS4’s dominance worldwide till date.
