Xbox One July update picks up your accent for Kinect voice commands

Using Kinect voice commands for controlling the Xbox One has been a hindrance for owners who don’t hail from the US due to their accents. That will be changed by the new update for the game which is being delivered by Microsoft currently, equipped with a number of other interesting additions to improve your experience with the console.

Those residing in New Zealand, Ireland and Austria will be allowed to choose voice control using the English or German voice models from other countries following this update. A new Achievement Snap mode has also been introduced by this download. Moreover, each Achievement will now have a ‘Get Help’ button on it, clicking which will make the console scan the web to showcase relevant tips for beating it.

A fresh control mechanism for the console now allows you to enter Snap Center by double-tapping the Xbox button on your controller. Achievements as well as other snap-ready apps will be available here. And if an application has already been snapped from before, the double tap will open it in Snap Mode for you.
