Microsoft has just announced the Halo 4 Champions Bundle DLC release date, along with revealing the contents that will be going into it. This bunch of add-ons for the newest Halo game will consist of three different packs that will be purchasable individually as well. They will be launched via Xbox Live on August 20, and will all be aimed at the Infinity Multiplayer experience of the title.
Like with most of the game’s downloadable content, these additions too are being developed by 343 Industries in collaboration with Certain Affinity. Microsoft has revealed that the Halo 4 Champions Bundle DLC will contain a Bullseye Pack, a Steel Skin Pack and an Infinity Armor Pack.
While the Bullseye Pack introduces two new multiplayer maps, a sports-themed Spartan armor and a fresh competitive gravball game type called Ricochet, the Steel Skin Pack grants steampunk skins for UNSC, Covenant and Forerunner weapons. The Infinity Armor Pack on the other hand, infuses the game with new legendary armor.
If purchased individually, Bullseye Pack will set gamers back by 480 Microsoft Points, whereas the Infinity Armor Pack and Steel Skin Pack go for 240 Microsoft Points each. However, buying them in the form of the Halo 4 Champions Bundle DLC will grant players with savings worth 160 Microsoft Points, as it will sell for 800 Microsoft Points.
That’s not all; those who purchase this Halo 4 Champions Bundle DLC will also receive a total of eighteen bonus in-game items which will be available with it only for a limited time. This new set of add-ons for the game is part of a regular influx of downloadable content that is being directed towards it ever since it was launched back in November last year.
As mentioned above, the Champions Bundle DLC as well as its individual packs will be released through Xbox Live on August 20.
