Xbox 360 250GB Racing Bundle Zooms into Stores Next Month

Driving game fans seem to be in for a treat this June, as Microsoft has announced that it will be shipping a special Xbox 360 250GB Racing Bundle next month. Apart from a 250GB standard black slim model, this pack will also kick in a copy of Forza Motorsport 4 and a Wireless Racing Wheel.

The official launch date of the bundle is yet to be confirmed. While the Major Nelson blog says it will be out in mid-June, the Amazon listing of this package points out that it will come out on June 30, 2012. The retailer also reveals that a free 3-month Xbox Live Gold subscription will be kicked in by this set. Microsoft sells its regular 250GB Xbox 360 at 249.99 USD (approx. Rs. 13,920). And the price of this value-added bundle amounts to 299.99 USD (approx. Rs. 16,700).

Forza Motorsport 4, which comes packed into the set was released by the company in October last year, with single-player as well as multiplayer features. Developed by Turn 10 Studios, the game also possesses Kinect support which allows players to drive cars using the peripheral’s motion-tracking capabilities. Post its release, a number of DLC packs have come out for the title, enhancing it with various new cars.

The Wireless Racing Wheel from the bundle comes with trigger buttons for acceleration and braking. Moreover, it also features buttons for game-specific functions and rumble feedback. Individually, it can be purchased through retailers at 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,340).

Gamers will be able to buy the Xbox 360 250GB Racing Bundle sometime in June. As mentioned above, it will retail at a price of 299.99 USD (approx. Rs. 16,700).
