Gears of War 3 will be released by Game4u at 12 am on September 20. This launch will take place at its flagship store at Mega Mall, Oshiwara in Mumbai. It is open to everyone and moreover, those who attend this event will also get a chance to win some ‘exciting freebies.’ The ‘1st to own’ certificate that will be offered to the earliest buyer of Gears of War 3 would declare that he/she is the ‘first proud owner of the game.’
This massive title is the third iteration to the incredibly popular series developed by Epic Games. The first game was released in 2006 and is known to have sold three million copies in ten weeks. On the other hand, pre-orders of Gears of War 3 are believed to have already reached the three million mark. The game will include stereoscopic 3D support that will be rendered on compatible TV screens.
The Gears of War 3 launch event in India by Game4u will commence at midnight of September 20, 2011 at Mega Mall, Oshiwara in Mumbai. Upon its release, the game can be purchased at a price of Rs. 2,499. Its LCE version, which will come bundled with an award box, a service medal, an Adam Fenix multiplayer character, Fenix family mementos and a fabric COG flag, will retail at Rs. 3,499.
