Publisher Ubisoft has made it known that its much awaited online title Trackmania 2 Canyon is now available for download through the game’s website. The title was running a public beta recently which was apparently played by gamers form eighty three countries. Over three thousand tracks are said to have been created by fans all through the two weeks of this beta.
In order to play Trackmania 2 Canyon on PC, gamers require Windows XP, Vista or 7 installed on their systems. Either an Intel Pentium or an AMD processor of 1.5Gz or more is needed alongside a minimum of 1GB RAM. The game makes use of DirectX 9.0c and calls for 1.5GB of free space on the hard drives. The track editor of this title allows gamers to customize their races with a variety of options. The game is touted to comprise of ‘richer’ environments and more ‘diversed’ tracks. Moreover, its game studio trait allows gamers to edit highlights of their races.
Access codes of the Trackmania 2 Canyon beta were doled out only to those who pre-ordered the game. The game is seemingly the first title to be released on MediaPlanet which is gaming network system meant for PC gamers. This feature allows players to create game content and participate in community events. This racing title was showcased at this year’s gamescom which was held from August 17 to August 21 in Cologne, Germany. An invitation-only pro-gamer tournament was also organized at this event.
Trackmania 2 Canyon can now be purchased from the game’s website at a price of 24.99 USD (approx Rs. 1,180).
