Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hit the markets last year in November and since has been noted to be the most pirated game of 2009. The online multiplayer of the title includes different modes like Domination, Free-For-All, Capture The Flag among others. It now appears that the Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer includes a new glitch known as the ‘Ice Skating’ glitch.
According to Destructoid, this new glitch in the multiplayer mode enables players to move at a quick pace giving the feeling of are skating on ice. Gamers can run up to five times faster than normal speed with this glitch. The website also states that these types of glitches occur mostly in Sabotage titles. The ‘Ice Skating’ glitch seemed to have started off as a mod for the PC version and then transferred to the Xbox 360.
These glitches have already caught the eye of Infinity Ward. Robert Bowling revealed via Twitter, “Another #MW2 playlist update to prevent the spread of the ‘ice skating’ / speed hack. Will prevent matchmaking into modded games.â€
It looks like Infinity Ward was quick to catch the glitch in the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer and implement a playlist fix in order to prevent the use of the glitch.
