April update for Xbox One detailed

After receiving an extensive update earlier this month, the Xbox One console from Microsoft is set to be blessed with another chunk of new features which will be doled out in April. A few interface changes, some improvements to Game DVR, Blu-Ray, Kinect and many other traits will form part of the update, as revealed by Microsoft.

This news comes from a NeoGAF user who’s apparently part of Microsoft’s preview program. He has posted on the forum a detailed look at what the company will be delivering trough the April Xbox One update. A progress bar is among the new additions, and it’s meant for notifying gamers about the status of their game saves as well as updates to games and apps.

Notifications will be making their way into the console’s Friends app for when favorites and friends sign in to Xbox Live. Moreover, gamers will also be able to identify their friends who are on Xbox Live, and to their most popular apps. This April’s update for the Xbox One will also bring in support for 50Hz video output, thus providing relief to those who had been facing difficulties in video playback in Europe.
