The newly revealed Ultimate Battlefield 3 PC mod undoubtedly looks like a sweet piece of gaming equipment to have as it not only contains a USB-powered beverage cooler, but also houses a minigun and a custom-made sniper fan grill. Built by renowned modder, Brian Carter, this case will be presented to the winner of a contest named Battlefield vs. Call of Duty Showdown held by Raptr.
In this face-off, gamers were asked to converse about the merits of Battlefield and Call of Duty franchises. According to Raptr’s official blog, one lucky winner of this debate was selected to receive this PC gaming rig. The hardware has been splashed with custom paint on its side to keep with the Battlefield theme. Moreover, a Raptr dino logo has also been integrated into the design.
“I’m very excited to reveal the final images of the Battlefield vs. Call of Duty Showdown’s grand prize, the Ultimate Rig! What started out as a simple idea around creating a ‘military-themed’ PC evolved into this gaming rig featuring a minigun and a beverage cooler! I’m rather proud of how the whole thing came out,” Brian Carter, wrote on the blog.
On the other side, what looks like a first-aid kit, is in fact a USB-powered beverage cooler that can hold small cans. As shown in the video, the minigun that makes its way onto the Ultimate Battlefield 3 PC mod actually rotates and can be controlled using one of the two custom-made control switches. For those wondering what kind of equipment goes inside this PC rig, an AMD FX 8150 processor, two Radeon HD 6970 graphics cards, a 60GB SSD as well as a 1TB SATA III hard drive are the kind of components that it has been equipped with.
Sadly enough, this Ultimate Battlefield 3 PC mod won’t be out for retail. So all we can do right now is gape at the hardware and wonder what it would look like sitting on our desktop.
