Mad Catz Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade FightStick Pro Announced

Gamers looking forward to next year’s Street Fighter X Tekken have something else to be excited about in the form of the Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade FightStick Pro which was unveiled recently by Mad Catz. This announcement is part of a multi-year agreement between the peripheral manufacturer and Capcom to create branded controllers and accessories based on the upcoming crossover fighting title.

The FlightStick Pro can be pre-ordered currently for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. Designed to bring back the arcade experience to the game, this device is equipped with a Japanese-style ball-handled joystick and 30mm action buttons placed to match the Vewlix arcade cabinet configuration. It can be connected to consoles via a ‘lag-free’ USB cable which is 13 feet in length.

Our range of fighting game controllers continues to be received with enthusiasm amongst passionate gamers and we are convinced that the forthcoming Street Fighter X Tekken videogame will see sustained demand for our flagship range.”

This controller integrates an 8-button arcade-style layout with additional multi-speed Turbo functionality. Its 3-way switch allows the joystick to function as a left or right analog stick or a D-Pad. Furthermore, its screw-on rubber feet enable gamers to place it on a solid surface while playing. Exclusive to the Xbox 360 version is an integrated headset port for use with Xbox Live.

Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 models of the Mad Catz Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade FightStick Pro are now available for pre-order at a price of 159.99 USD (approx. Rs. 7,366) each. The release dates of these controllers are yet to be announced.
