E3 was abuzz with rumors about the release date of Capcom’s much awaited fighting game for Street Fighter fans. The developers finally put them to rest with the revelation of Street Fighter X Tekken, expected to be available on Sony’s PS Vita.
The game, which had an early PS3 demo version showcased at E3, will feature Cole MacGrath, from the inFamous series. The character is playable exclusively on SCE platforms. Otherwise too, Capcom includes a classic and powerful character lineup from both the Street Fighter and Tekken franchise.
Apart from this, action in this title picks up from the Street Fighter IV game and should excite fans of both Street fighter and Tekken. New gameplay mechanics and controls up the ante and the inclusion of tag battles for the very first time should get more than a handful of gamers interested.
Capcom is yet to announce details about the PS Vita version, but Street Fighter X Tekken will be available for the PS3 in 2012.
