The newest addition to the MSI Computer products is the GT627 gaming notebook which is the first of its kind to feature the Nvidia GeForce 9800M GS GPU or graphics processing unit.
This GPU enables extremely fast gaming speeds and supports Nvidia CUDA technology, giving gamers added features of accelerated game physics and video conversion. The GPU also saves power and handles the video decoding, giving the CPU a chance to focus on other tasks.

The GT627 notebook from MSI comes with a 15.4 inch WSXGA (1680×1050) LCD and weight cartridge laser mouse for better gaming. Another notable feature of the GT627 is MSI’s proprietary Turbo Drive Engine, which can overclock the notebook’s Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (Penryn, FSB 1066) by as much as 15%, which requires the unit to be connected via an AC outlet. The GT627 has a power conservation setup allowing for 5 different power consumption modes.
The GT627 is housed in a sleek anodized brushed aluminum gaming case, for extra protection and durability. It comes with a standard 6-cell battery and weighs in at just under 6 pounds (that’s just about 2.6 kg). Also included is an 802.11 b/g/n wireless modem and a Blu-ray player which is optional. It is no doubt that it has been hailed as one of the best gaming notebooks in its class.
To sum up some of the most remarkable features of the MSI GT627 gaming notebook: The CPU is Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (Penryn, FSB 1066). It has a PM 45+ICH9-M chipset and an Nvidia GeForce 9800M GS DDR III 1GB GPU. It supports up to 4 GB DDR2 800 RAM and a 320 GB SATA HDD which can spin as fast as 7200 RPM.
