Among Us Getting New Map, UI/UX Changes, And More This Year

Among Us

Among Us developer Innersloth has unveiled its 2023 roadmap and fans will be pleased to know that it includes the launch of the game’s fifth map. Along with that, the makers have also planned other interesting changes to the game that will be dished out in the coming months.

Not many details about the upcoming map have been provided but we’ve been told that it will bring with it more cosmetics and have fun surprises hidden around.

Victoria Tran, Community Director at Innersloth has said in a blog post, “We don’t want to skimp out on anything, so we’re excited to finally be gearing this map up for you to play later in the year!”

Improved matchmaking is also in the pipeline for Among Us in 2023. This will be aimed at letting players find the games they want to play more easily and quickly.

On the UI/UX front, updates to Quickchat are on the cards. The makers of Among Us have said that they wish to “refine the dialogue options while also making it easier to navigate.”

What’s more, collaborations with other studios are in the works. This means Among Us will regularly be updated with content and characters from other popular games. “We have some big ones planned for this year, and I think you’re gonna freak out it’s so cool,” said Victoria.

These being the additions coming to the game in 2023, Innersloth has also planned a few extra ideas that it could explore if there’s enough time. These include the additions of new roles for Among Us characters and improvements to the Friends List feature.

The last big release for Among Us was its Hide and Seek mode that came out in December last year and had the imposters seeking crew members who are hiding from them.
