Minecraft Preview 1.19.10.21 Arrives In Preparation For ‘The Wild’ Update

Minecraft

A week ahead of the release of the game’s much-anticipated The Wild update, Minecraft has been blessed with a preview build for players to test out some features. Minecraft Preview 1.19.10.21 features a number of fixes and general improvements and is available now for the Xbox, Windows, Android and iOS versions of the game.

This preview build brings with it several improvements to the gameplay, performance, and UI. That said, there are no other major features being added to Minecraft by it. That means you will still have the same metals and ores to smelt in that blast furnace of yours, until The Wild update rolls along.

And that will happen on June 7. Themed around scary things and natural wilderness, this update is set to introduce the deep dark and mangrove biomes to the game. It will also bring to the game ancient cities and mobs such as the warden, the frog, the tadpole, and the allay. Controversially, no fireflies will be making their way into the game.

Minecraft is known for getting regular updates that add new content for free. The last major update to the game was Caves & Cliffs Part II, which was released in November 2021. It brought with it a revamped overworld generation, including new caves and mountains.

Even more than a decade after its release, Minecraft still remains one of the most popular games in the world. In fact, with more than 238 million copies sold, it is the best-selling video game of all time and boasts nearly 140 million monthly active users.

As we said, the much-awaited Minecraft The Wild update will go live on all platforms on June 7. The Preview 1.19.10.21 update, on the other hand, is already available for download.
