New Minecraft Patch Addresses ‘Freezing Issues’ On Nintendo Switch

Minecraft

There were several reports of the Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft experiencing ‘freezing issues’ since the last update and they have now been addressed by the developers. The game’s latest patch has been issued specifically to solve them.

Players who were facing these issues and had abandoned their Minecraft castle builds or their regular gaming sessions due to this reason can now finally get back into the game. Update 1.18.30 was apparently responsible for this bug, as it had affected the auto-save functionality of the game, leading to the freezes.

Update 1.18.32, which has also been rolled out for the Android version of the game, solves those issues for Switch users. The patch notes for this Minecraft update read, “Addressed chunk loading and freezing issues on Nintendo Switch.” As per Nintendo Life, the ‘freezing issues’ have been solved since the arrival of this update.

Minecraft, which has been around since 2011, was ported to the Nintendo Switch in 2017, only two months after the console was released to the world. The same year also saw cross-platform play being introduced to the game in the form of the Bedrock Edition. This version also got ported to the Nintendo Switch in the same year.

Minecraft still remains the best-selling video game of all time, having sold over 238 million copies and boasting nearly 140 million monthly active users as of 2021. The game can be played on almost every modern platform available at the moment. And the fact that cross-platform support exists gives even more incentive for fans to keep going back into the game.
