Battlefield 3 Premium Service Details Leaked [Update: Confirmed]

The Battlefield 3 Premium service can by no means be called a best kept secret, as new details regarding EA’s answer to CoD: Elite have surfaced owing to the apparent leak of a spec sheet related to it. And this is just one of the two woes for EA, as even before this leak, the EU PlayStation blog had placed Premium for a June 4 release, a listing which was later taken off.

A NeoGaf post spotted by Joystiq has the entire supposed fact sheet of the Premium service which seems to be pretty legit. It will be priced at 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,785) and will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It will endow buyers with free downloads of five themed expansion packs ”“ Back to Karkand, Close Quarters, Armored Kill, End Game and the newly revealed Aftermath pack. In total, these expansions contain 20 maps, 20 weapons, more than 10 vehicles, over 30 assignments and 20 dog tags for BF3.

In addition, subscribers of the service will be able to indulge in all these DLCs two weeks before usual players. With Premium, gamers will also be able to wipe out all their multiplayer progress in order to start off from the beginning. Other features include more than 10 soldier camos, weapons camos, over 10 platoon emblem decals, server queue priority, exclusive events, double XP weekends, strategy guides and more.

The leaked fact sheet of the Battlefield 3 Premium service states that it will be out on June 4, 2012, the same day when EA will be holding its annual E3 press conference.
