A teaser website went live recently and is suggesting an alliance between two giants in the Japanese gaming industry – Namco Bandai and Tecmo Koei. Apart from links to the official sites of both Namco Bandai, the website displays a day wise countdown clock. Below it, the names of both the companies are placed with an ‘X’ sign in between.
A big Start logo which is not even a button also appears on the webpage. This logo seems to be the only clue that both the companies are giving away as of now. But judging by the ‘X’ sign between the names of both the corporations it seems likely that it is a combination between two games of both the developers. The interest that Street Fighter X Tekken has generated among fans goes on to prove that collaborative efforts are here to stay.
The page does not give away any other detail. The countdown however, is currently 6 days away from reaching 00.00.00.00. Gaming circles are abuzz with rumors of what the website could mean. Perhaps a crossover involving characters from Namco Bandai’s Tekken and Tecmo Koei’s Dead Or Alive? Or Soul Calibur vs Dynasty Warriors? Or for that matter Ninja Gaiden vs Pac-Man? Okay, even we admit, the last one is a bit absurd. But who knows, there might just be huge surprise in store for us.
The teaser website which hints a partnership between Namco Bandai and Tecmo Koei could mean different things to different people. But what it actually is can be found out only when the countdown runs out 6 days later.
