3D Effects in Avatar: The Game Require HDMI enabled consoles

Now according to MTV’s Multiplayer blog, James Cameroon’s Avatar: The Game will require an HDMI enabled console to be played in 3D. Only the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions of the game will be available in 3D, but will require an HDMI compliant console. So if your Xbox 360 was part of the initial shipment from Microsoft, or if you have a rather old PC, tough! You can’t play the game in 3D.

You will also need a pair of red and blue 3D glasses to play the game in 3D, which goes without saying. Additionally, the Wii, PSP and Nintendo DS versions of the game will not feature the option of playing James Cameroon’s Avatar: The Game in 3D. There is no information about the release dates and price of this sci-fi title.
