RedOctane has announced that Guitar Hero players will be given a unique chance to play to the same crowds who will rock to Iron Maiden, My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park. They have collaborated with 2007’s Download Festival to make the greatest gaming stage ever.
The Guitar Hero sessions will be two hours long and will take place on the Third Stage every night from 7 June, 2007 through until June 10, 2007 between 10:00 pm and midnight. The event is being held at Donington Park, Castle Donington. And the winners of the event will not go empty handed. The crowd will choose the top performer of the night, who will go home with a brand new Epiphone Les Paul!

Participants will have to perform on Guitar Hero II’s forty licensed songs along with the track packs which have been made available on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
