Epic Games VP Mark Rein has taken a stroll on the forums and has nailed a notice that they will soon be coming out with a Gears of War update, which will contain the much awaited achievements relating to Annex and the Hidden Fronts.

The next Gears of War update is coming along nicely. We don’t have a release timeframe for it yet but I just wanted to let you know we’re making significant progress. In addition to the previously mentioned plan to improve roadie run we’re also going to have new achievements relating to Annex and the Hidden Fronts DLC. Of course no title update would be complete without more exploit squashing and the ever-popular “general housekeeping”.
Mark Rein did not specify any timeframe, but new Gears of War update is expected to come out soon. It will not be a patch but a full-fledged update. However, it would be great if Epic Games could come out with something for the campaign mode.
