GameSpot is reporting that Activision has signed up the voice over artists of the original Transformer series, which was aired on television in the 1980s. Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, who voiced Autobot leader Optimus Prime and Decepticon leader Megatron respectively, will now be heard in the forthcoming Transformers Game.
Laird Malamed, Head of Production, Activision said, “As Transformers fans, we knew the importance of having the well-known voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron in the game.”
Transformers: The Game has been developed by Traveller’s Tales for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2 and PC versions while Savage Entertainment is developing PSP version and Vicarious Visions is working on the two DS versions. The game is expected to release this summer.
