We’re not far away from an official reveal of Battlefield 6 but that somehow isn’t stopping the leaks plaguing the game. Four purported screenshots from the upcoming entry have arrived, giving us one more glimpse of the futuristic setting of the game. They even give us a look at the game’s HUD.
These screenshots come from a Twitter account named Battlefield News. One among them is a wide shot of an entire city with a watermark reading ‘Pre Alpha Footage.’ This could mean it’s part of an upcoming trailer. Another image showcases a tank running a rampage in the same city.
One more leaked Battlefiled 6 screenshot shows what looks like a gameplay scenario of one player watching a helicopter plummet. And the last one seems to show a gameplay shot of a player piloting the futuristic aircraft seen in previous leaks. The game’s HUD, including its mini-map, equipment, and party list are all visible in the screenshots.
Battlefield News has claimed that the images were taken from an internal playtest held on June 4. However, there’s no proof of that available yet. On Twitter, noted Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson has said that the leaked images are indeed legitimate.
Rumor has it, and the leaks have corroborated, that Battlefield 6 will have a futuristic setting. That is quite a big departure from the last two games from the series, which were set during the two World Wars. No exact date has been finalized for its official reveal, but judging by these leaks and the proximity of E3, the reveal seems to be pretty close.
Battlefield 6 is expected to release for the PS5 and the Xbox Series X, along with PC and old-gen consoles. We’ll have more on it when new details are out.
