Ubisoft announces Far Cry 5 Season Pass, and first DLC for game

As you already know, Far Cry 5 will be released for PC, Xbox One and PS4 on March 27 this year. So here’s the big news – Ubisoft has given us the lowdown on what will be included in the Season Pass and it’s pleasantly mindboggling. It has zombies, aliens, a trip back in time to the Vietnam war and a free game.

The first of the downloadable content (DLC) for Far Cry 5 will have nothing to do with the main plot that revolves a doomsday cult called The Project at Eden’s Gate, led by the mysterious Joseph Seed. Dead Living Zombies in which players will have to battle the undead will be the first DLC for Far Cry 5.

The second expansion is called Hours of Darkness. It takes gamers back to the Vietnam where they will battle against Viet Cong soldiers. If the living dead and war is not your thing, there’s always the third DLC, Lost on Mars. As you can guess, it is set on the red planet and will have you battling alien arachnids on the Martian surface.

Let’s hope these will be on the same level of awesome as Blood Dragon which was rolled out as a standalone expansion for Far Cry 3. Speaking of the latter, a Classic Edition of the game inclusive of its single player content only, will be bundled in for free along with the Season Pass as well as the gold edition of Far Cry 5.
