Ubisoft drops new Far Cry 5 ‘Resistance’ trailer

We don’t know if open world first person shooter, Far Cry 5 is on your list of must-play games for 2018, but it definitely is on ours. Ubisoft has rolled out a new trailer for the title called The Resistance and it looks awesome as hell.

Unlike the previous offerings in the franchise, it skips exotic locales outside the US and is set firmly in Montana in the fictional county dubbed Hope. The main aim of the player will be to bring down a doomsday cult called The Project at Eden’s Gate.

The cult is led by Joseph Seed and his band of “Heralds” and is depicted as a threat to the local community at large. Players must either fight single-handedly against these fanatics or team up with fellow resisters in order to take out the enemy.

Not only can gamers get human characters on their side, they can also win over animals to the good side in the fight against Seed and his followers. When you’re not stabbing, shooting or blowing up people or things, you can hang around fly fishing and what not.

As you can see from the trailer posted below, the upcoming title retains the signature weirdness of the Far Cry franchise that fans have come to love. It’s going to be a fun ride when the game is finally launched for PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 27, 2018.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed in the hope that its release won’t be hit by a delay yet again.
