Dishonored 2 release date disclosed, gameplay video coming this E3

Arkane Studios’ much anticipated first-person action offering Dishonored 2 has finally been granted a release date. The game will be out on November 11 this year for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC.

Its makers have told us that a full gameplay showcase will be provided at Bethesda’s press conference during this year’s E3 in June. Additionally, a number of its details are already available via this month’s Game Informer issue.

Spring 2016 was earlier revealed to be the tentative timeframe during which Dishonored 2 was supposed to be released worldwide. However, the fact that it’s arriving in November now means it has met with a delay. It’s just a guess but this may very well have something to do with the rumored 4K-capable PS4 and Xbox One editions that will apparently be arriving late this year.

Dishonored 2

Dishonored 2 will borrow the setting and gameplay mechanics from its predecessor, but will expand upon them in a big way. This title will have you don the role of an assassin with supernatural abilities. Its main focus is on offering completely freedom in the way you assassinate your foes, as you can choose to go completely stealth or all guns blazing, and even something in between both these approaches.

While Dishonored offered just one playable character, its sequel will feature two of them, with one of them being the first game’s protagonist Corvo Attano and the other one being empress Emily Kaldwin who has grown up now. This title too will just feature single-player gameplay.
