February is Player Appreciation Month for Battlefield 4

Amidst all the controversy surrounding the bugged out Battlefield 4, an attempt at providing some respite to players is being made by EA and DICE. Saying a thank you to gamers who’ve stuck to the game despite its many problems, its makers have announced February to be a Player Appreciation Month filled with community missions and daily giveaways. For those unaware, BF4 has been suffering from seemingly unending problems related to bugs, glitches and server issues since its launch.

As part of the Player Appreciation Month, each day you log into the game, you’ll be blessed with a Bronze or Silver Battlepack containing bonuses like XP Boosts and soldier camos. Moreover, Battlefield 4 players will also be getting two shortcut bundles as free downloads during this month. These are meant to unlock all grenades and handguns for the base game. One double XP weekend is slated to take place during Battlefield 4’s Player Appreciation Month, and Premium members moreover will be getting an additional double XP weekend.

And then there will even be community missions organized by DICE to let you earn yourselves some gold Battlepacks. The first such mission will ask you to gather a set number of dog tags during a particular period of time. This news about the Player Appreciation Month was conveyed by DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson through a blog post yesterday in which he has mentioned that the company appreciates ”˜all of the great feedback you continue to provide about all aspects of Battlefield 4.’

The slowly recovering Battlefield 4 is out now for the PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
