Borderlands 2 DLC and raised level cap on its way

Gearbox Software has brought in good news, as it has announced that more Borderlands 2 DLC is on its way, along with a bumped up level cap for gamers to progress even further. At PAX Australia, head of the studio, Randy Pitchford confirmed to OXM that new content is headed the way of Borderlands 2, and is currently planned to arrive on download channels by the end of October this year.

The first add-on that will be released has been titled the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 which will increase the total level cap to 72. Moreover, it will also add to Borderlands 2 the ability to alter the game difficulty outside of how gamers’ character level already does. The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 will also comprise of the Digistruct Peak Challenge which will have Vault Hunters fighting alongside Professor Tannis.

Besides this, there’s news that a fresh set of add-ons is being planned for Borderlands 2 by Gearbox Software. They will collectively be called Headhunter Packs, and the first one among those will bear the name T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest. It will mark the return of the character T.K. Baha from the first game. Randy Pitchford has mentioned that ‘two or three’ of the Headhunter Packs are expected to be made for Borderlands 2.

Gamers can take note that the above mentioned content won’t form part of the Season Pass, as all the add-ons aimed at the program have already been released. Like we said, those eager to jump into more Borderlands 2 DLC can start looking forward to this October.
