Hotly anticipated next-gen shooter, Battlefield 4 looks all geared up to enter its open beta phase from October 1 onwards. This applies to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, for which the actual game will be launched on October 29. As for the PS4 and Xbox One editions of the title, EA has gone on to reveal the street dates of these versions. While it will be seen arriving for Sony’s console on November 12 in North America and November 29 in Europe, it will be launched for Microsoft’s on November 19 in North America and November 21 in Europe.

Through a post on EA’s blog, Peter Moore, who’s the chief operating officer over at the company has revealed that those who participate in the Battlefield 4 open beta will be able to learn its maps, unlock items as well as build their stats. They will then be allowed to carry over this progress to the actual game when it launches. Moreover, content from current generation versions will also be made available to be carried over to the next generation versions.
Those who buy the game for the PS3 and Xbox 360 initially will easily be able to upgrade their copies to PS4 and Xbox One editions by paying a fee of 10 USD (approx. Rs 625). Although not all retailers will be offering such schemes, a number of major ones will.
Like we said, the Battlefield 4 open beta starts on October 1 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC gamers. Keep an eye on this space for more on the game.
