Borderlands 2 Add-On Content Pack granted a February 26 release date

The Borderlands 2 Add-On Content Pack has been unveiled by 2K Games and Gearbox Software as a value-added bundle containing some of the game’s DLC packs, slated for a February 26 worldwide release date. It should be noted that the actual game has not been included in this set, and gamers will need to possess it separately in order to access these contents. With its price tagged at 29.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,590), it guarantees 10 USD (approx. Rs. 530) worth of savings against downloading the packs separately.

Borderlands 2 Add-On Content Pack

The Add-On Content Pack for Borderlands 2 is all geared up to come loaded with a number of the title’s previously released chunks of downloadable packs. Firstly, it will kick the ‘Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty’ and ‘Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage’ add-ons. Moreover, Gaige, the Mechromancer, who’s the fifth playable character in the game, will also be doled out with this bundle. It will even unlock unique weapons such as the Gearbox Gun Pack and Skyrocket Grenade, and will contain additional heads and skins for each character. Lastly, the set will come equipped with a Golden Key which unlocks rare loot from the golden chest in Sanctuary.

This game was released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in September last year, and was received with much acclaim from fans as well as critics. Just like its predecessor, it has players complete a campaign consisting of central quests and optional side-missions while stepping into the shoes of one of the five vault hunters from the planet of Pandora. Essentially a first-person shooter, this game also features role-playing elements, and has its focus set on cooperative experiences.

Its first main add-on came out on October 9 in the form of the Mechromancer Pack which introduced a fifth character to the available lineup. Its two campaign DLC packs, ‘Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty’ and ‘Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage’ were released in October and November, respectively. A third addition to the game was the ‘Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt’ DLC which hit availability status in December, but is not included within the bundle in question.
