BioShock Ultimate Rapture Edition Details Leaked

It may not be official as yet, but the the Bioshock Ultimate Rapture Edition sure seems like a nice option for Irrational Games to keep fans busy till the release of its latest title which was delayed into 2013 recently. The British Board of Film Classification apparently outed this bundle through one of its listings which mentioned that it will kick in BioShock and BioShock 2 with all its DLCs.

BioShock Ultimate Rapture Edition

Eurogamer had spotted this listing on the BBFC website, before it was taken down. It was declared by the ratings board that the pack had been passed with no cuts and given an 18 rating. BioShock was first released in 2007, and it is ever since considered one of the best games of recent times. It was followed by BioShock 2 which came in 2009 and was set eight years after the events of the first title.

“During normal gameplay, the BioShock Ultimate Rapture compilation contains frequent strong bloody violence. The depiction of violence is similar throughout the original game and its sequel, with sight of spraying blood as enemies are attacked with a range of weapons, including a mechanised drill and a rivet gun,” read the BBFC description, confirming that both the games will indeed be included in the collection.

The third entry into this much loved series will be launched in February next year. Although it features similar gameplay concepts and themes, this game won’t be a sequel to the earlier titles, as it will be taking place in an earlier time period and a different setting. Recently, developer Irrational Games had unveiled new information related to the Hard Hitter villains that will be seen within the game.

BioShock Ultimate Rapture Edition is still to be confirmed by publisher 2K Games; we’ll have more on that when it does.
