We reported earlier last month that an early access to public beta of Gears of War 3 will be offered within the pre-order bundle of Bulletstorm Epic Edition. Players pre-ordering the game will not only get a preview of the much awaited action shooter, but will also be rewarded with 25,000 experience points along with other packaged exclusives. Now, Epic Games and Electronic Arts have publicized that gamers will be able to get a sneak peek of Bulletstorm’s guns and gameplay action in a demo. The offering is slated to open for access on Xbox 360 and PS3 starting later this month.
Bullestorm features three game modes, namely Anarchy multiplayer, Echo and the pulp sci-fi single player campaign. Echo mode is said to be a unique experience which tracks and compares players’ scores as they sift through various locations of the campaign. The demo will include a portion of Echo mode where gamers, in the shoes of ex-Dead Echo leader Grayson Hunt, will be able to explore a collapsed building on the deadly paradise planet Stygia. The game offers a ‘Skillshot’ system that allows players to abolish enemies in many creative ways and accumulate points utilizing an assortment of powerful weapons.
A futuristic assault rifle called the Peace Maker Carbine, the Flail Gun that emits two grenades linked by a chain or the Screamer and a lethal revolver which transforms enemies into human fireworks can all be employed by gamers to put an end to their enemies. Players can also contend against their friends in Echo mode while slaughtering their enemies in one of the numerous stylish ways using a few of the most innovative weapons. The demo includes over 45 skillshots and enables gamers to unlock platform-specific upgrades such as Crimson Leash and Stealth Armor usable in the game’s Anarchy mode after purchasing the full game.
The Bulletstorm demo will be available for players to download via Xbox Live Marketplace worldwide from January 25, 2011 and on PSN on January 26 across the United Kingdom. The full game is slated to release on February 22, 2011, although pricing details regarding Bulletstorm’s standard edition have not been revealed yet.
