Release Dates for First BioShock 2 DLC revealed

The BioShock franchise has certainly earned a place in the hearts of gamers as it has reportedly sold over seven million units all over the world. BioShock 2 unveiled into stores early last month and was released onto many platforms like the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Last month, 2K Games enticed gamers by disclosing that they can expect extensive downloadable content to hit the scene by March.

Now the company has given the Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack a March 11, 2010 release date. This offering will be the first of many more single as well as multiplayer downloadable content for the acclaimed FPS title. Within just four weeks of its release into stores, BioShock 2 has shipped more than three million units while its predecessor sold over four million units since its 2007 release.

The Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack comprises of many customization features which aids players in further developing their character for the game’s multiplayer modes. The pack is all set to provide rank increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards as well as two new playable characters namely Oscar Calraca and Louie McGraff. There is also a third weapon upgrade alloted for each weapon. A few items like 20 new trials and five additional masks will only be available for players who achieve a rank of 41 or higher.

The Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack DLC will enter the Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360 and Games for Windows-Live later this month for 400 Microsoft Points. PS3 owners can acquire BioShock 2’s first DLC from the PlayStation Network for $4.99 (approx. Rs.227). The company reveals that more information on the other additional downloadable content will be disclosed in the following weeks.
