Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision Publishing, was released in 2007 and has since become a smash hit. The game has to date sold more than 12 million copies worldwide.
As the days pass, more is uncovered about Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2. Recently we reported on how Activision had said that Modern Warfare 2 would release before Christmas. Now it has come to light that the game will be released on November 10, 2009 worldwide.
“Everyone on the team is laser focused on making the most gripping experience we’ve ever created,” commented Infinity Ward’s CEO, Vince Zampella speaking about the game. “No detail is too small and every finishing touch imaginable is underway to make Modern Warfare 2 our best ever. We can’t wait for our fans around the world to play starting November 10th.”
From the statement by Zampella, it seems like Modern Warfare 2 is all set to create a new level for others in the genre to aspire to reach, just like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare did when it was released.
