From the time it was announced, many had backed Call of Duty 4 to go and cross a lot of milestones and that is what first person shooter has been doing! Technology news website News.com is reporting that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has hit the 10 million units sold mark.
Vince Zampella, who is the studio head at Infinity Ward, confirmed to News.com earlier this week that they had sold the 10 millionth copy of COD 4. However, Zampella could not provide exact details about the break-up. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released for on multiple platforms including the PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC last year.
Earlier this year, Activision, who are the owners of Infinity Ward studio, had sent word that Call of Duty 4 was the top title in units worldwide for the year 2007. Also, even the COD 4 Variety Map Pack reached the nine million milestone a few days ago.
