Kung Fu Panda Game for Mobile Phones Announced by EA

One of the eagerly awaited animated movies is Kung Fu Panda. It was obvious that video games based on the movie would be released sooner or later. Now the Casual Entertainment Label of Electronic Arts has sent word about Kung Fu Panda game for the mobile platform.

Kerry Phelan, Head of Worldwide Consumer Products, DreamWorks Animation says, “We wanted to provide a game based on the movie that would extend the Kung Fu Panda experience in new, inventive ways on mobile phones. Kung Fu Panda from EA Mobile offers an engaging experience that captures the great action and humor of the film.”

Travis Boatman is the vice president of worldwide studios for EA Mobile. He commented, “We are huge DreamWorks Animation fans, and we jumped at the chance to create a mobile game based on one of their films. Kung Fu Panda is a natural fit for a game. The story’s engaging characters, inspirational message and fast action made it easy to create an irresistible mobile game experience.”

The Kung Fu Panda game for mobile phones will see gamers assume the role of both the hero Po and the villain Tai Lung. If they play as Po, they get to train hard to protect the Valley of Peace and achieve the status of Kung Fu master. As snow leopard Tai Lung, they can steal the legendary Dragon Scroll. And yes, there is even a secret character to be unlocked.

Kung Fu Panda has been released in North America and is available on wireless carriers. Europe will get the game a little late but it is expected to be out there in this month itself. As for the information about the carrier availability and pricing, its up on the official EA Mobile website.
