Killzone 2 getting First DLC: Guerrilla Games

Killzone 2 is without doubt, one of Sony’s biggest exclusives, if not the biggest, with about 323,000 units selling in the US within the first 48 hours of the game’s release. Presently the game stands at more than 600,000 copies sold in the US alone.

Gamespot is reporting that developer Guerrilla Games is planning the release of the game’s very first DLC which is to make up the package, titled ‘Steel and Titanium’ and is expected to be available sometime towards the end of April. Apparently, the DLC pack will contain two multiplayer maps.

The first one is based aboard the ISA tech cruiser the New Sun and has multiple decks which mean that players can be shot at from above and below. The second map is set on board two Helghast freight trains traveling alongside each other at high speeds. Players can jump between the two and must avoid objects that the trains pass under or beside.

The exact dates or pricing for the Killzone 2 DLC have not been revealed but managing director at Guerrilla Games, Hermen Hulst hinted at future DLC containing a number of maps from the original Killzone released for the PS2 in 2004.
