Besides Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Resistance 2, there was one more PS3 exclusive game that was eagerly awaited in 2008. That game was Killzone 2, which was then postponed to early 2009 for scheduling reasons. PS3 gamers are now happy playing Resistance 2 but they do know that come early 2009 and they get one more shooter!
Now Kyle Shubel, who is the managing producer for Sony Computer Entertainment America has revealed the release date of Killzone 2 for the PS3. The game will be out in North America on February 27, 2009. Besides the launch date, two new Killzone 2 weapons were also showcased, the Flamethrower and the Bolt Gun.
Killzone 2 has been developed for the PS3 by Guerrilla Games. A few days ago, the developers had pointed out, apparently, that the shooter has no install! Click here to read our preview of Killzone 2.
