A few weeks ago, we had reported that EA had announced EA Sports Active, a game which was exclusive for the Nintendo Wii. Well, it seems that Electronic Arts loves making Wii exclusives! Now EA sends word about NASCAR Kart Racing, a new racing game for the Wii.
The NASCAR Kart Racing is expected to have dodged falling boulders and treacherous landscapes and gamers will have to drive around rocky cliffs as well as jump rivers. Coming to the multiplayer, there is the split screen feature, so four players can go head-to-head.
For any racing game, one of the most important aspects is the tracks. Well, NASCAR Kart Racing features more than twenty race layouts, which go through deserts, freeways, junkyards, back roads and canyons. The tracks can also be reversed! The areas surrounding Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Dover International Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway also feature in the game.
Of course, you can play as Jimmie Johnson or one of the other NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers that feature in the game. Besides two mystery unlockable drivers, gamers can expect Jeff Burton, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt, Jr, Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth, Elliot Sadler and Tony Stewart
NASCAR Kart Racing for the Nintendo Wii is scheduled to be out in North America on February 10, 2009. EA claims that this Wii-exclusive title is the first and only NASCAR racing game for Nintendo’s present generation gaming console.
