MultiVersus To Go Offline With Full Release Planned For In 2024

MultiVersus

MultiVersus, the crossover fighting game that makes such matchups possible as Batman vs Bugs Bunny and Arya Stark vs Harley Quinn, is set to be taken offline this June. It’s been in existence as an open beta since July 2022 and is set to receive a full release in early 2024.

June 25 has been marked as the exact date on which the open beta of MultiVersus will be taken offline by Player First Games. This means it will no longer be available for download on digital storefronts.

Those who already have it on their machines won’t be able to access its online features. However, they can indeed indulge in offline matches with their friends and also get access to the training room. All the characters and cosmetic items will also be retained.

“We do know that this news might be disappointing, but rest assured, MultiVersus will be back,” said Tony Huynh, co-founder and CEO of Player First Games in a note to fans.

“We’ll also ensure that all of your progress and content will carry over when MultiVersus returns next year, with a variety of new content, features and modes. Along the way, we’ll be providing updates so keep an eye on our social channels and website, as well as our dedicated FAQ.”

MultiVersus is a free-to-play fighting game and its best part is it features characters from a variety of Warner Bros. Entertainment franchises. Built using Unreal Engine 4, it is available to play right now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

As we’ve mentioned above, June 25 is the date on which MultiVersus will go offline with a full release scheduled for early 2024. How many hours will you be clocking in the game before the deadline?
