Two fresh characters have been announced by Team Ninja to have entered the roster of fighters to be featured in the upcoming Dead or Alive 5. Both these characters – Tina and Jann Lee have been part of past DOA games, but have this time around received new moves, character designs and other details.
Described as a star-struck vixen, Tina is also known as ‘The Superstar,’ as she’s the daughter of legendary wrestler Bass. She has been trained by her father since childhood, and this gives her high levels of technical skill at wrestling. She has enrolled into the DOA tournament against the wishes of her father, who wants her to carry on the family wrestling tradition.
Jann Lee on the other hand, has entered the tournament with the lone goal of becoming the greatest fighter of all time. Nicknamed a ‘Scorching Soul,’ he is a master of Jeet Kune Do who learnt his skills by watching martial-arts movies as a young orphan. He is constantly trying to avoid Lei Fang, as she’s been chasing him ever since he saved her from a street gang as a young girl.
The tag team combat which is showcased in the video above has Jann Lee and Lei Fang battling it out against masked wrestlers Mariposa and Mr. Strong on the wrestling stage called Fighting Entertainment. This environment supposedly asks gamers to carefully outmaneuver their opponents in order to avoid being zapped by the high voltage current passing through the ropes.
Dead or Alive 5 will be releasing for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 25, 2012. It can be pre-ordered now at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,300).
