After unveiling Christie and Bayman, developer Team Ninja has gone on to detail two more characters that will be seen on the roster of Dead or Alive 5 which launches for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in September this year. Lei Fang and Zack will be seen making a return to the DoA series with fresh character and costume designs.
Lei Fang is known widely as ‘The Tai Chi Quan Genius,’ as she has mastered the said martial art. She is a girl who grew up in a wealthy family, and is also described as a woman of justice, as she bears an independent spirit. But that doesn’t stop her from being spunky, intelligent and cheerful. Fang has prepared to fight Jann Lee, who once happened to save her from harm.
The next character to hit the roster of DOA 5 is Zack, who goes by the nickname, ‘The Crazy Climber.’ He has been depicted as a DJ with a positive attitude and an original sense of style. Being a top fighter, he has enrolled in the Dead or Alive tournaments for money and fame. He has taught himself Muay Thai just by imitation, and has developed an unorthodox style of performing the martial art.
Both these characters face off on a new stage called The Show. Filled with tigers, rings of fire and ball-balancing clowns on trampolines, this environment also features a massive clown face with moving eyes. Players will even be able to execute a special attack which unleashes a Power Blow, knocking opponents on to the clown face and creating a human cannonball.
Dead or Alive 5 is scheduled to arrive for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 25, 2012. It can be pre-ordered now at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,325).
