Developer Reverge Labs has also revealed the eighth and final character that will form a part of the title. Named disturbing Double, this fighter can be seen in the trailer we’ve posted below. A free demo of the game would also hit PSN this week. It will contain two playable characters – Filia and Cerebella, a shortened Arcade Mode, local versus support, four tutorials and a Practice Room feature.

“All in all, the trial should let you get a feel for Skullgirls’ fundamentals, experience the power and gameplay depth of two characters and get a taste of the single player content, all while leaving you wanting more. You may want to pick the game up soon and start practicing, though, because Autumn Games will be sponsoring a number of tournaments throughout the spring and summer,” wrote Peter Bartholow, Designer, Producer, Community Manager, Reverge Labs, on the blog.

The tournaments which Bartholow talked about will take place at four different locations around the world. Even more such contests are in the pipeline, and are expected to be announced soon. Winners of each of the tournaments will be rewarded with a FoeHammer custom Skullgirls fight stick, like the one pictured above.

Skullgirls will be outed through North American PSN tomorrow with a price tag of 14.99 USD (approx. Rs. 765), while its worldwide Xbox Live release will take place a day later. The pricing for the latter version is yet to be confirmed.
