Tekken was originally fashioned as an arcade game with various versions emerging later for consoles. The latest iteration to the acclaimed series is Tekken 6 which released late last year for the PS3 and Xbox 360 systems. Now gamers can also enjoy all the intense brawling on their mobile phones. Namco Networks reveals that Tekken Resolute launches onto the mobile arena which covers Windows Mobile, RIM, Java and BREW.
“As Tekken is one of the top fighting franchises in gaming today, we have extended its accessibility into the mobile space. While we know many hardcore gamers are into technically sophisticated fighting games like Tekken, casual gamers will now be able to throw down some aggression on an opponent with Tekken Resolute on their mobile!” exclaimed Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing at Namco.
With this latest exciting offering, Namco brings the action out of arcades and consoles, and straight into mobile phones. There are eight familiar and formidable characters plucked right out from the original series. Gamers can take complete advantage of three different game modes as well as fluid animation, vibrant graphics and 2D action.
The game unfurled across Europe earlier this year christened as Tekken Mobile and is now available through all major US carriers entitled Tekken Resolute. The pricing will be carrier specific.
